Welcome to this site!

Many of the travel books featured in book reviews in the mainstream media tend to be by men, although that is slowly changing. On this site, I will be highlighting travel books written by women (and a handful about women travellers written by a men).

This project started in 2013, when I began writing monthly reviews on travel books by women for the website Women on the Road.

When Women on the Road was discontinued this year, I decided to move them to this section. I will be publishing reviews taken from Women on the Road over the next few months, as well as any new ones I have read. I will also create a page listing the countries covered.
